About The Event

Kindness is Contagious

Learning not to retaliate when we are provoked takes mental training. When we combine our acceptance with compassion for those who are hurtful, we are showing a strong and kind example to others — it's contagious. Your co-workers, your kids, your partner sees and experiences that example and is inspired by it. Come explore how to cultivate this powerful mind through meditation.

This series is taught by Gen Kelsang Chokyi, Resident Teacher at KMC Blooomington, and is based on Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's book "How to Solve Our Human Problems.”

The class consists of two meditations, a talk on the benefits and healing nature of patience as well as some practical advice on how to integrate acceptance into daily life. Everyone is welcome — no meditation expereince is necessary.

This class is now live via Zoom with an option to watch within 24 hours.
