Keeping a Happy Mind: Meditations for a Meaningful Life — LIVE via ZOOM
Meditation is a mind that concentrates on a virtuous object, and that is the main cause of mental peace. The practice of meditation is a method for familiarizing our mind with virtue. The more familiar our mind is with virtue, the calmer and more peaceful it becomes. When our mind is peaceful, we are free from worries and mental discomfort, and we experience true happiness.
Without inner peace, there is no real happiness at all. The more we control our mind, the more our inner peace increases and the happier we become. Therefore, the real method to make ourself happy is to control our own mind.
This class series is taught by Gen Kelsang Chokyi, Resident Teacher at KMC Bloomington. The series is based on the book by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, "The New Meditation Handbook."
Everyone can benefit from meditation whether you are Buddhist or non-Buddhist. You will have 24 hours to listen.Â
