About The Event

Overcoming Obstacles to Love

What obstructs our love? Fear? Loss? Resentment? These states of mind may feel like big obstacles because of our experiences with relationships. Ultimately, they are habits of mind and can be changed by understanding the beanefits and power of love. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso says that "Love is the great proector." In this 4-week series, we will explore how this is possible.

This series is taught by Gen Kelsang Chokyi, Resident Teacher at KMC Blooomington, and is based on Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's book "Eight Steps to Happiness”.

The class consists of two meditations, a talk on the benefits and healing nature of patience as well as some practical advice on how to integrate acceptance into daily life. Everyone is welcome — no meditation expereince is necessary.

This class is now live via Zoom with an option to watch within 24 hours.
