• Connecting Kindness Retreat

Let's  connect kindness to our moms! It is very easy to forget our mom’s  kindness, to take it for granted or focus on the negative aspects of our  relationship. In this retreat, we will explore how kind our mom has  been to us — even from the beginning of this life. Meet Arya Tara, a  female Buddha who is a manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all the  Buddhas. Tara is also known as the "Mother of the Conquerors."  Everyone can benefit from these timeless teachings that are practical and modern!

This retreat is led by Gen Kelsang Chokyi, Resident Teacher at KMC Bloomington and American Buddhist nun.

An email with links to the live stream video will be sent within 24 hours of the retreat. Following the retreat, you will be sent links to watch within 72 hours if you wish.

Gen Kelsang Chokyi is a modern Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher for KMC Bloomington. With joy, wisdom, and experience, she shows how everyone can easily integrate Buddha’s teachings into daily life.

BOOKS

This retreat will be using the book How to Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. It's not required to have your own copy, but some people like to have them on hand during the event, or read more afterward.
