Lindenwood Retreat & Conference Center is located on the shores of Lake Gilbraith in Northern Indiana. Lindenwood provides a quiet and peaceful environment for perfect meditation retreat conditions including: comfortable accommodations, beautiful gardens, walking paths, and a meditative labyrinth.

SAT, Sep 2 | *silence until lunch

Breakfast: 7:30-8:30am

Session 1: 8:45am-10am | Taking on our own future suffering with Gen Dorje

Session 2: 10:30-11:45am | Taking on our own future suffering with Gen Dorje

Lunch: 12-1pm

Session 3: 3:45-5pm | Taking by means of compassion with Gen Wangden

Dinner: 5:15-6:15pm

Session 4: 7:15pm-8:30pm | Q&A with Gen Wangden & Gen Zamling

 

SUN, Sep 3 *silence until lunch

Breakfast: 7:30-8:30am

Session 1: 8:45am-10am | Taking by means of compassion with Gen Wangden

Session 2: 10:30-11:45am | Giving by means of love with Gen Zamling

ABOUT the TEACHERS

Gen Kelsang Dorje is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Madison. Gen Dorje has been studying and practicing Buddhism for over 20 years under the guidance of his teacher Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Dorje is admired for his warmth and humor in making Buddha’s teachings relevant to the modern world. He is an inspiring example of how to integrate Buddha’s teachings into a joyful life.

Gen Kelsang Wangden is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Indianapolis, and is Buddhist monk. He is known for his kind heart, joyful nature, and practical advice. He enjoys helping students of all abilities and interests understand and apply Buddhist lessons and cultivate inner peace.

Gen Kelsang Zamling is the Resident Teacher at KMC Chicago, and is modern Buddhist monk . Gen Zamling has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years, and has taught in the United States and in the UK. He is known for his practical approach, warmth, and clarity. He is well-loved by his students, and sets an immaculate example of someone who has taken Buddha's teachings to heart.

Gen Kelsang Chokyi is the Resident Teacher at KMC Bloomington, and is an American Buddhist nun. As a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Kelsang Chokyi has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 19 years. With joy, wisdom, and experience, she shows how everyone can integrate Buddha’s teachings into daily life.
