I Can('t) Settle My Mind
Mini Mediation Retreat in Silence

SAT, June 17

10am- 1pm

Perhaps we may think that we can't meditate because our mind is our schedule is full or we are just anxious and overwhelmed a lot. Gen Kelsang Chokyi will guide meditations to illuminate within your own experience how you can settle your mind.

In this retreat, we will explore methods to reduce stress, worry and feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, she will focus on how to meditate, the benefits of meditation and a daily meditation practice.

As a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Kelsang Chokyi has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 19 years and is an ordained American Buddhist nun.
She is the Resident Teacher at KMC Bloomington. With joy, wisdom, and experience, she shows how everyone can easily integrate Buddha’s teachings into daily life.

10:00 - 11:30am — Session 1

11:45am - 1pm — Session 2

> calming guided meditations
> short talks to inspire
> guided meditations to transform

No experience necessary — cushy chairs and cushions — everyone is welcome!

This retreat will be using the book How to Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. It's not required to have this book, but some people like to have them on hand during the event or read more afterward.
