Tormas are special food offerings made to the Deities to request them to bestow the attainments of enlightenment upon us.
We will learn how to make the basic shapes and decorations for tormas that are used in various pujas and empowerments. They represent our wish to offer everything we can with the motivation of love and compassion.
This hands-on workshop is for anyone interested in learning to make tormas or wanting to deepen their skills. There will be plenty of individual attention and flexibility to make whatever tormas you want, including empowerment tormas or Vajrayogini tormas! Breaks will be taken individually as needed throughout the workshop — everyone is welcome!
Kelsang Chenma has 20 years of experience making tormas. She is visiting Bloomington from KMC NY and looks forward to sharing her experience with everyone at KMC Bloomington.
