A World Gone Mad: A Buddhist Approach to Conflict & Chaos
How does one cope with the conflict, uncertainty and instability of our chaotic modern world without becoming jaded or living in a constant state of anxiety? In this special talk, we will explore practical methods for transforming conflict and adversity from the point of view of Buddhist philosophy, psychology, and meditative practice. This lecture is suitable for all levels of experience and is open to everyone. After the lecture, there will be light refreshments and an opportunity for questions and further discussion. Everyone is welcome.
Friday Night Lecture: A Buddhist Approach to Conflict with Gen Kelsang Demo is the Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC Washington D.C. She has been a student and disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and has been teaching for 18 years. Gen Demo demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and is known for her warmth and clear presentation of Buddha’s teachings.
