Overcoming Self Doubts Retreat

SAT, Mar 16

10:00am - 1:00pm

with Gen Kelsang Chokyi, Resident Teacher

Often, our doubts about ourself are tied to external factors like our youth, relationships, and experiences. But what happens when we lose these things? With so much uncertainty in the world, our confidence and well-being face greater challenges than ever before.

Buddhist meditation comes in to resolve that inner conflict and doubt. By improving our inner peace and good qualities, we can develop stable feelings of happiness and self-esteem, even if we have lost the things we love. Join us to learn how Buddha’s teachings can help us gain the ability to uplift our own mind so that we feel confident and strong within wisdom.

In this retreat, we will cover the following topics:

• How meditation creates confidence and clarity

• How to accept yourself as you are and find an authentic, reliable direction

• How to develop inner strength

The retreat is suitable for all meditation levels, including beginners. It includes guided meditations, short teachings as well as a written Q&A in the last session. Everyone can benefit from this retreat — you don't have to be Buddhist to participate.

This retreat is followed by a vegetarian lunch ($8), please register for the lunch by Thursday, March 14 to participate so we can prepare accordingly.

You can to register online or in person at KMC Bloomington's reception.
