Tuesday Evenings

Daily practice means daily peace. Maybe you've "tried" meditation, but have you "practiced" it? 


Happiness is a state​ ​of mind, so it just makes sense to prioritize working on our mind. Through training in meditation regularly our problems and worries ease, and we begin to enjoy every part of our life more.​ ​Join us ​for insight and tips to​ ​confidently train in meditation, establish and sustain a daily practice, and improve concentration​.​

Classes include guided meditation, a talk based on practical wisdom for daily life, and Q&A.  No experience is needed. Chairs and cushions are provided. Everyone is welcome!

Sunday Morning Meditation 
10:30 - 11:30 am | with Resident Teacher Gen Tsoglam

Suitable for everyone, these weekly drop-in classes offer practical methods to improve the quality of our lives through meditation and Buddhist teachings. Classes include guided meditation and a talk.  No previous experience is needed. Cushions and chairs are provided. The class is followed by refreshments in our community room.

Wednesday Lunchtime Meditation 
12:15 - 12:45 pm | with Resident Teacher Gen Tsoglam

Take 30 minutes in the middle of the day to connect to your heart, cultivate inner peace and clarify your intention for the day. Each class includes guided meditation and a brief teaching. Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is necessary. 


$5 per class  | Free for Members

Select Saturdays: Meditation for Teens & Tweens

Taught by Gen Tsoglam | Next class: March 21  | 4-5pm

Just like everyone, young people can benefit from the inner strength and emotional well-being that come ​from the tool of meditation. ​In addition to meditation, t​his class will​ offer special w​​ays of thinking and insights into keeping a happy mind in any and every situation.


Chanted Meditations:

Monday -  Friday afternoons: Heart Jewel Prayers with Meditation

This heart practice of Kadampa Buddhism. Includes 15 minutes of silent meditation.

Tara Prayers - 8th of the month:

Tara is a female Buddha, whose name means “Rescuer" and she is the embodiment of swift compassion. If we rely upon Tara sincerely and with strong faith, she will protect us from all obstacles and fulfill all our wishes. Tara’s chanted prayer practice is called Liberation from Sorrow.

Powa Prayers - Once a Month 

Prayers for the recently deceased.

Everyone is welcome to join in this meaningful and profound practice, in which we make strong prayers and use powerful visualizations to help the recently deceased.

Select Days: Wishfulfilling Jewel Prayers with Offerings

Check calendar for dates. This special practice of Je Tsongkhapa combined with the the practice of his Dharma Protector and special offerings.
