We are celebrating and we would love you to join us. April marks the 5 year anniversary that KMC Bloomington officially opened its doors to sharing Kadam Dharma to the local community.

To celebrate KMC Bloomington's 5 Year Anniversary, Gen Chokyi is guiding a 5 day Meditation Challenge for 30 minutes a day.

From Monday, April 18 - Friday, April 22, you can engage in the Meditation Challenge to fit your schedule as this is a recorded event. This Meditation Challenge is culminating to a workshop on our Celebration Day, Saturday, April 23 — Confidence: To Meditate which will be in person and live stream and go deeper with our ability to meditate with confidence.

Each day you will have a quote, a short write-up about the daily topic, an essential meditation tip, and a 15-20 minute guided meditation. Perhaps, you may not think that you can meditate or you want to hone your skills, this is a perfect starting point.

DAY
1 - Joyful Meditation without Expectations
DAY 2 - The Benefits of Meditation — Clarity of the Mind
DAY 3 - How to Meditate — Meditation on Interconnection
DAY 4 - Overcoming Inner and Outer Problems
DAY 5 - Inner Peace & Dedication

This can be practiced by anyone, regardless of background and belief. Everyone is welcome; no previous meditation experience is needed.

WHY MEDITATE?

The purpose of meditation is to cultivate positive states of mind, conducive to peace and well-being, and overcome negative habits of mind.  Happiness is a state of mind, therefore the real source of happines lies in the mind, not in external situations.  When our mind is peaceful we are free from worries and mental discomfort, and we experience true happiness.

“If we want to experience true,
lasting happiness, we need to learn
the secret of inner peace by
meditating."

- Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
